If you are thinking about remodeling your bathroom because you are getting ready to sell your house, you may think about redoing everything, thinking that the more you do, the better your turn is. However, that isn't always true. Not everything you do is going to give you the same return on your investment and won't help raise your selling price. There are some things that are good for you to do and others you should just ignore. 

Picking the Right Bathrooms

One of the things that are good for you to do is to prioritize the bathrooms. If you are going to remodel them, you want to know what ones you should do first and which you can afford to let go. The first bathroom you should work on is the master bathroom. The odds are that the people buying your house are going to be using the master bedroom so they are going to want to have a nice bathroom to use. If you have a half bathroom that is in the public areas of your home, then you want that to be high in the priority list as well. Then you can move into guest bathrooms and finally any other bathrooms, like ones for children. 

Think Cosmetics

You don't have to make any huge changes in your bathroom if you don't want to. If the structures and systems are sound, then you can just do some cosmetic work to bring it up to date and make it look fresh. That can include doing things like changing the tile, redoing the floor, and changing cabinets. You don't have to completely tear out cabinets, you can repaint them, re-stain them, add in new pulls and handles, or just replace the doors. Those things can change the look of the room without costing a lot of money. If you are doing those things specifically for sale, you may want to make sure that the changes you are making are more neutral or subdued than you may otherwise choose to have. That way the buyer can imagine themselves in the bathroom and not be jarred by any unusual colors.
